The End...

Wow! What an amazing week at Impact Youth Conference! We heard some great preaching by Bro. Jonny Pope, Bro. Kenny Baldwin, Bro. Steve Roberson, Bro. Ron Bishop, Bro. Ralph Sexton, and, of course, Bro. Capaci. There were more than 2,000 young people in attendance at the conference with many making decisions for Christ. There was also a large of number that received Christ as their Savior! Praise the Lord! We were able to talk with hundreds of young people who stopped by the table and give them information about the college. And, to help keep the excitement level up, the college also gave away an ipod touch. I think it went over pretty well. :-) We were able to have alot of fun with activites and games this week, but most importantly, God was moving in the services. The point of the conference isn't just to get together and have a good time (which is great!), but the main purpose is to work in the hearts and lives of young people and change lives, and I believe that God did that.
Well, our summer tour is officially over. We left after conference was dismissed on Friday and are all safely home now. :-( We sure are going to miss all the fun times that we had and the good people that we got to meet. Praise the Lord for His hand being on us and for His protection as we traveled. Hopefully the Lord was able to use us to make an impact on someone this summer!
Here are a few pictures from this past week...and a few memories from earlier in the summer as well :-)

The table was crowded with young people filling out information cards

Caleb and Kyle had fun getting the crowd excited by throwing out free t-shirts every night

Dustin made alot of new friends :-)

I'm going to miss all of our picnic lunches. Whether we were actually at a picnic table...or whether we were making pb&j's in the van (which is harder than you think, let me tell you) lol

Silly girls...

We got to see alot of really neat places...

But the most important thing we got to experience this summer was the powerful moving of God!

Our Last Sunday

Our last Sunday was an awesome day! That morning we were at Liberty Baptist Church in Chickamauga, Georgia with Pastor Rick Ball. It was a great morning that started off with Caleb and Kyle each bringing a message in Sunday school, and ended with a spirit-filled morning service full singing and a message brought by Pastor Ball. Sunday night we were in Southside, Alabama at Riverview Baptist Church with Pastor Justin Smith. This church was great and Bro. Tony was able to bring the message after we sang. All in all it was a great day and we were able to meet lots of really sweet people.
Thinking back on it, this has been an awesome summer! We are all going to be sad to see it end, but we have had the privilege to see God do some pretty amazing things! And it's not over yet! We still have one more week at the Impact Youth Conference in Gatlinburg. I'll be updating at the end of the week to let you know how that goes. Be praying! :-)

Well, we've have another great week on tour! :-) Wednesday night we sang at Fellowship Baptist Church in Trafalgar, Indiana where Bro. Jeff Hopson is the pastor. Bro. Hopson's daughters, Amber and Ashley attended Champion and it was so fun to get to see them. Amber traveled with the tour group last year so it was great to sit down and tell tour stories and share a lot of laughs. Church went really well that night! We were able to sing about 8 songs and Bro. Tony brought a good, God-filled message.
Thursday morning we began our journey to Georgia, where we will be singing tomorrow morning. We stopped to spend the night in Nashville, Tennessee where we realized that a girls tour group from Hyles-Anderson College was staying in our hotel. They were all so nice and we were so glad that we got to meet them!
Next week we will be at the Impact Youth Conference in Gatlinburg. There are over 2,000 young people registered for this conference! Be praying now that God will touch the lives of many teenagers during this week...

Us and Ashley Hopson...yes, Deanna is in the picture. If you look really close between me and Ashley, you can see an eyeball. That's Deanna...And I'm sorry Amber that we didn't get a picture with you. Next time we will :-)

Yeah, I'm not really sure what Dustin's doing here...who knows...lol

CHICAGO!!!!

Wow, it's been another busy week! It seems like the closer we get to the end, the busier it gets. Last Wednesday night we were at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Nicholasville, Kentucky with Pastor Dan Barnes. The service went really well and we got to see our friend Stephanie Helms so it was a great night. :-)
After Wednesday night we drove to Chicago where we spent the next few days walking all over and seeing the sights. Saturday we visited Caleb's hometown in Geneseo, IL and spent Sunday morning at church. We sang during the Sunday school hour and in the main service. It was amazing to see the Lord work through both the singing and the message brought by Pastor Kobernat. First Baptist Church was such a blessing to us and I pray that the Lord allowed us to be a blessing to them in return. We had a great time visiting with alot of our college friends that attend church there, and even a few that drove in from surrounding cities. - Jacob, Brianna, Wes, Amanda, Rachel, Colleen, and Jessica, it was great to see ya'll! :) - Caleb sure was sad to leave his family but Sunday afternoon we had to drive quickly to make it to Faith Baptist in Tuscola, IL for their evening service. This service was a little different than usual because it was a special service held at a park. We enjoyed a potluck supper, an open-air service, and afterwards, a good game of church-wide baseball. We sang a few songs and Bro. Tony brought a message about remembering to praise the Lord for everything in our lives. It was a great night of fellowship with Pastor Garcia and the members there. They have recently moved into a new building as God is continually blessing and their church is growing.
Monday we traveled back to Chicago to spend one more day before Mrs. Dee, Bro. Tony's wife, had to leave us. She flew out last Wednesday to spend the week with Bro. Tony. (And us too I guess) :-) Only one week and two more days left of tour. Please remember to keep us in your prayers!

While we were in Chicago we visited the Moody Church, and go to see the pulpit that D.L. Moody preached from.

We sang "How Great Thou Art" inside the auditorium of Moody Church

Hanging out at Navy Pier

Cool pic, huh?! :)

We couldn't get a picture with every one of our college friends because Sunday is a pretty busy day for all of us, so I stopped for a picture with Brianna Schnurr...She's a nice girl :)

Chillin' in West Virginia :-)

Greetings from the beautiful mountains of West Virginia! We're just here hangin' out with Kyle's family and we're having a great time. Monday night we went to a cook-out with a group of people from the church where Kyle's dad, Bro. Greg Kinzer, pastors. There were about 30 people in attendance and we just enjoyed some yummy food and good fellowship. After supper we all gathered around the campfire for some singing and testimonies, and Kyle brought a short message. Praise the Lord we were able to see three people accept Jesus Christ as their Savior! The cook-out was a great success! Today we've just been exploring around Princeton. We were able to ride the airtram in Pipestem State Park and go wading in the river. Now us girls are in the kitchen getting some supper together while the guys are out fishing. :-) Tomorrow we'll be heading to Lexington, Kentucky for our Wednesday evening service. Pray that all goes well!

Singing by the campfire...well, it's behind us actually

Mmm! Toasting marshmallows!

Bro. Tony enjoying a warm, gooey marshmallow right off the stick :-)

Me, Summer, and Kyle's sister Kayti

Dustin, enjoying his first s'more ever!

Deanna made some new friends, Kara and Brianna

Deanna, Lauren, Mr. T, and Caleb ready to ride the airtram

Hanging out by the river

This is Summer's flip-flop. She was having such a good time wading around in the water, her shoe came off : (

Aww! Poor lil' Summer... But don't worry, we waited a while and it came close enough to us that Kyle was able to reach out with a long stick and save it

Wow! What A Weekend!

We have had a blast this past weekend! Once we got to Stoneville, NC we got to hang out with our friend Jordan Tickle. His mom let us make our own homemade pizzas and she also made us some amazing chocolate meringue pie! Mmm! And after eating all that yummy food we played volleyball with some great teens from Amazing Grace Baptist Church. Today we had the privilege of being with Amazing Grace for our morning service and Gospel Light Baptist in Christiansburg, VA in the evening. Bro. Tony was able to preach in both churches and Kyle and Caleb preached during the Sunday school hour this morning. You could definitely tell that every message was carefully studied out and prayed over. God used each one in His own special way to speak to the hearts of the people. Praise the Lord for another day to represent Him to two more churches in our country! Tomorrow we will be driving back to Princeton, WV where we will be attending a cook-out with the people from Kyle's church. Please pray for our safety and for the Lord's hand to be on us as we minister! As the end of our summer tour is quickly approaching we want to make sure we finish strong!

So I realized that I put some of Dustin's b-day pics up, but I forgot to put some of Caleb's up...his birthday was a few weeks ago. So here is a picture of his cookie cake :)

And we went into some random mall that had a carousel so we rode it in honor of his 20th b-day. I felt like a little kid again :)

Playing volleyball...my team won...I think. lol

Making pizzas. For some reason they look like we caught them in the act of doing something they shouldn't have been doing. Hmmm...

I think they're having a little too much fun with this... :-)

All of us with Jordan

The guys with Pastor Owens after church Sunday morning...You can see that Kyle was a little eager to get rid of his suit jacket and tie :)
