Our Trip to D.C.!

Hey Everyone!
Wow! This has really been a tremendous weekend! Saturday night we had the opportunity to participate in a youth activity with the youth group of Calvary Baptist Church in Colonial Heights, Virginia. It was so much fun! We got to play Kickball and Capture the Flag and eat some yummy snacks too...which of course, we loved. :) Sunday morning we were at Calvary again and had an awesome service. Pastor Haskett allowed us to sing about 6 songs before he brought a message on the purpose of burdens and the importance of bringing them to Christ. It was a huge blessing and encouragement to me and I am so thankful that Pastor Haskett was sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit when God put this message on his heart.
Sunday night we were able to attend Patuxent Baptist Church in Great Mills, Maryland with Pastor Conner. The evening service went very well and the Lord allowed us to spend time with some people we have not gotten to see in a while and also make a few new friends too. Joe Gould, a fellow Championite, drove from his hometown (which was about 30 minutes away) to come see us. He even brought some friends and family too. Wasn't that nice of him? :)
Today we were able to drive into D.C. and see a few historical sights. It was a pretty fun day! Tomorrow morning we will be leaving for Gospel Light in Walkertown, North Carolina. Please pray for us as we will be traveling for about 6 hours and participating in the youth conference Wednesday - Friday. Thanks so much for taking the time to check up on us and for keeping us in your prayers! Until next time...
(oh, and please bear with me. i kind of messed up and loaded all the pictures on in reverse order. :) so it will start with today and work it's way back to saturday...lol...sorry)

So, this morning, someone, who shall remain nameless, (cough, cough, Bro. Tony) locked the keys in the van...so this was the nice man breaking into our van for us :)

Us just chillin' and waiting for someone to come help us break in.

Us girls hanging out with the Conner sisters, Emilie, Mallory, and Bethany

Kyle is ready to play basketball Sunday night after church...but what about Bro. Tony???

Dustin is also ready for a little b-ball action

We were kind of on a tight schedule so we didn't all have time to crawl out of the van for this picture, so Kyle voluntered

The guys with Pastor Haskett

Us girls with Mrs. Haskett

At lunch that afternoon, they bought us a giant cookie with ice cream on top. We all dug in and it was pretty much demolished after 3 minutes. :)

This is Lyndsey Smith. She came up to talk to us after church Sunday morning

The guys, taking down the big board...their favorite job...not :) As you can see, Dustin isn't in this picture. He's off playing somewhere. Just kidding :) He was helping with the table or something...

Lauren, our salesgirl, busy "at work"

Saturday night Kyle's team won Capture the Flag...with a little help from Deanna...long story

Playing kickball. Caleb goes in for the kill...

And he follows through!
