Catfish, Thunderstorms, and Mice - just a few words to describe our weekend
Well, this first weekend has been pretty stinkin' amazing! :-) We pulled onto the road on Friday and made the "long" journey to Mississippi. Upon our arrival, we had the opportunity to pull our first prank of the summer! Summer happened to find a cute, little, furry, fake mouse and the guys decided that we should scare Lauren and Deanna with it. The prank was successful and we all got a few good laughs. :-) Saturday night we went to eat at a restaurant called "Cravin' Catfish." A few of us were able to try catfish for the first time and realized that it wasn't so bad after all. :) After finishing our meal we were asked to sing a little tune, so we decided to do our accapella rendition of "God Bless America." While out to supper, we met a young lady by the name of Elizabeth Earnest who will be attending Champion in the fall. It was a great time of fellowship with her and we are excited to get to know her more this coming school year. Sunday morning was spent with Lakeview Baptist in Tupelo - Pastor Rob Garland. We have had the opportunity to be at this church several times and they have always been a blessing to us. Bro. Tony was able to bring the message and it was amazing to see the Lord work in hearts during the service. That afternoon we were on a tight schedule since we had a 4 hour drive in order to reach our destination in Nashville. We ran into some inclement weather (to say the least), which slowed down our progress. Hardly able to see the road in front of us because of the rain, we kept trudging along. Praise the Lord, we made it to the evening service safely and on time! Beacon Baptist and Pastor Goodwin were so welcoming to us! We had never before been to this church and it was a great meeting. Bro. Tony brought a message on God's purpose for the storms in our life. It was a huge blessing to us and, I'm sure, the church as well. - We are so thankful that the Lord allowed our first Sunday on the road to go smoothly! Today has been a relaxing day in downtown Gatlinburg. Just these first few days of spending time together is a good sign that we are in for an amazing summer! Keep checking back for more pics and updates!

The guys didn't think that anyone could fit in this box, so Megan proved them wrong. :) She got in, we shut the lid, and Wesley even picked it up. She said that it was "quite claustrophobic" to say the least...oh the crazy things we do on tour!
